Galvanized steel pipes, commonly known as zinc-coated steel tubes, are steel pipes that have undergone a zinc coating process to enhance their corrosion resistance and durability. There are two main types of galvanized steel pipes: hot-dip galvanized and electro-galvanized.
Hot-dip galvanized steel pipes are produced by dipping the steel pipes into a bath of molten zinc. The production process of galvanized pipe mainly includes the following steps:
Steel pipe preparation: Select seamless steel pipe or spiral welded steel pipe as the base material.
Steel pipe pretreatment: clean the surface of the steel pipe to remove impurities such as grease and rust on the surface.
Molten zinc coating: The steel pipe is placed in a special galvanizing tank and soaked in preheated molten zinc solution. Through the chemical reaction, the zinc coating is uniformly attached to the surface of the steel pipe to form a dense, uniform and dense zinc layer, so as to achieve the purpose of anticorrosion and corrosion resistance.
Galvanized steel pipe cooling: the molten zinc coated steel pipe is removed from the galvanized tank and placed in the water tank for cooling treatment to ensure the firmness and uniformity of the zinc layer.
Quality inspection: Appearance inspection, thickness measurement and quality inspection of the surface of galvanized steel pipe to ensure that it meets national and industry standards.
Galvanized steel pipe packaging: the galvanized steel pipe will be packaged and marked, and do moisture-proof, loss prevention and other measures to facilitate storage and transportation.
